Since our inception in 2019, we've experienced more ups than downs. These first years in business have been marked by great successes and memorable moments.
Our continued focus on exceptional customer service that builds long-lasting relationships and our promise to be the trustworthy and transparent partner the car rental industry needs has resulted in us being the first company ever to win the Danish Business E-Commerce Award for 2 consecutive years in the category "Best new e-commerce business".
The 2 awards were won in 2021 and 2022 respectively, which has since given us the drive to win even more awards. We are convinced that the key to Oscar's continued success lies in always meeting our customers at eye level and creating close ties with our customers. In an impressively short time, this company has disrupted a market characterized by a lot of large and international players - and a lack of transparency. They have built 119 departments in a short period of time. They offer a tool for administration, tools, etc. in addition to the actual business. The business is data-driven and nothing is random.

This year's winner has delivered on budget, doubled their revenue and managed to get 40% of their customers to return. In a short time, they have grabbed 16% of the entire car rental market in Denmark, they create growth locally, but at the same time they have full speed ahead with exports. The team is great, the business is data-driven and the ambitions are high. They're on a roll!

I booked a van for moving office furniture and belongings. It was super easy, booked online 2 days before and picked up the key in a vending machine and drove off. The site at Aarhus Ø is also open 24 hours a day so I could deliver it again in the evening after I was done at the same machine. Simple, easy and efficient.

Oscar-Cashback to local sports
Oscar always wants to support local sports and this has resulted in us sponsoring more than 60 local football and handball clubs nationwide. We are always on the lookout for local sports clubs that want to do something good for the local community through sports and are happy to discuss a possible sponsorship deal.
Our sponsorship commitment has further resulted in a new cashback program to benefit local sports clubs in Denmark. This initiative now allows customers who rent a car with Oscar to support a sports club of their choice from the list of partner clubs. Oscar Car Rental will then support the chosen sports club with 50 kr. This is at no extra cost to our customers.

Team Rynkeby Riget
Oscar Car Rental is a proud sponsor of Team Rynkeby Riget, a charity group of cycling enthusiasts who cycle to Paris every year to raise money for children with critical illness.
Team Rynkeby Riget combines exercise, community and charity in their efforts to, among other things, support the fight against childhood cancer.
We have supported their amazing project by contributing with necessary resources, including vans, to ensure a smooth and efficient execution of their charity bike ride. It's an honor to support an organization that makes such a significant effort to help those in need.

We also support Stop Spild Lokalt, an organization dedicated to fighting food waste and promoting sustainable solutions. War refugees in Ukraine
We have also supported the brave women, Karina and Tanja, who in March 2022 headed to the Ukrainian border to assist war refugees and bring necessary supplies such as clothes, blankets and quilts.

Knæk Cancer Løbet is a movement that raises funds for research and support for cancer patients and their families. To help with their important events, we have contributed a van to facilitate logistics and enable the race to reach a wider audience.

Ronald Mcdonalds Children's Foundation
We further support Ronald Mcdonalds Children's Foundation - an organization dedicated to supporting seriously ill children and their families during hospital stays. To contribute to their efforts to make every day easier for these families, we have donated three vans.
This support allowed the Ronald McDonald Children's Foundation to facilitate the transportation of a lot of gifts for a charity event. We are happy to have been a part of this worthwhile initiative.
Dansk Folkehjælp
Oscar Car Rental has also had the privilege of supporting Dansk Folkehjælp in their important humanitarian work. We have donated a van to the organization to help them pick up supplies from the Food Bank for a summer camp.
Dansk Folkehjælp makes an invaluable effort to support those who need it most, and it was a natural decision for us to contribute to their efforts.
Free rental cars for our everyday heroes
In March 2020, the Corona epidemic came to Denmark and shut down most of society overnight. The lockdown also hit public transportation hard, and that's when Oscar Car Rental stepped in to help.
We ended up providing free rental cars to all healthcare workers across all the country's hospitals, who now found themselves in a difficult situation in terms of transportation to and from work.
Several local media outlets wrote about this initiative - one of them was migogaalborg.dk.
At Oscar Car Rental, we believe that supporting the local community is an investment in a better future. We are proud of our contributions to these organizations and continue to seek new ways to give back and strengthen the communities we are a part of.
